Actually, I love the entire sound of the album. The actual music itself I don’t find cheesy, and even if it is it doesn’t matter to me, I love it. It’s some of the lyrics that I find to be ‘cheesy’ (i’m not a big fan of the word either, but it’s used for lack of a better). I can’t find the example that i’m thinking of…Don’t get me wrong, I love the CD, the lyrics, everything.

those ‘cheesy moments’ are what make the album. thats the whole point, dude hahaha. Jules said he wanted to make sounds from the past trying to make music from the future but most just ended up sounding really lame, the ones that succeeded though are the ones he based his sound around so its a given that ‘cheesy’ (i hate that word) undertones are gonna be there.

so, this song is definitely my favorite off the album. I think it’s far and above better than all the others, that do have some cheesy moments at times. I love the whole album though, despite that. The sound…I really connect with it, I guess.

I listen to the …
I listen to the whole album 3 or 4 more times and EVERY song will grow on you. I didn’t appreciate their uniqueness the first time around either and now, I love them all. Songs like Tourist, Glass, Left and Right in the dark, out on the blue and ludlow st are ranked up their with the best strokes stuff IMO and this is coming froma die hard strokes fan, that til this day is this it, FIOE and room on fire albums remain the most played on my ipod.Give it time, you’ll eventually love this album.

Gotta give the CD time….the songs will continue to sound good. I think the music is extremely catchy and pleasant. The music is interesting and different, and it’s going to take a little getting used to. I don’t really know if he’s going to put on a live show very well though..We’ll see though

but now that its here… it just didn’t do it for me. there are bits and pieces i like of most every song on this album. but i don’t know… as a whole i just don’t dig the sound.
