Can a tourist who is in UK on a tourist visa apply for a schengen visa from uk?
I am a Bangladeshi national coming to UK on a tourist visa. Would I be able to apply for a French/Belgian tourist visa from London? Or, do I have to take it from my home country?
No, you can’t. You need to be on a resident status and hold a visa which is valid for longer than six months to do so. No need to apply from your home country.

The application must be made to the Embassy of the country in which you plan to stay the longest time; either the French Embassy for the French visa or the Embassy of the Netherlands, which issues visa on behalf of Belgium in Dhaka.
