  5. jobs are not that …
jobs are not that great here, however, if one is creative, or an entrepreneur you can do well. We do have too many pizza & Italian restaurants, no big zoo, or large Aquariums, no Space Theaters, but if one likes peaceful nature, and a sense of closeness to the environment and learning survival skills, this is it. We don’t know what the future will bring, so we need to learn how to acquire a peaceful state of mind, which I have found in this beautiful breathtaking place. Peace & Love to U- All

    I actually love Maine
first of all because We do not have tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes etc. those storms most other states have to worry about.
We have no poisonous snakes or anything like that.
Its a quiet peaceful state, and I do not get way people have to dish it because we do not have big fancy Skyscrapers or anything like that..its a relaxing state and I’ve lived here all my life! I love it..

Most people are stereotypical about here like saying were “rednecks” not true?Maine is great!

theres nothing for young people to do here, there aren’t any high paying jobs that require a degree so many people dont see the need to go to college. So they end up working low paying jobs, drinking and making babies. For the idiots who say maines not boring, you are. give me list of the things to in L/A that dont require drinking, flying down a hill with boards strapped to my feet or invole stalking and killing animals.

  17. I saw Maine the …
I saw Maine the first time in 1964 (when I was 12) on a camping trip with my family. That’s when I decided I wanted to live here but it took 40 years for that to happen! 13 years of that time were in Fresno, California and I hated every minute there: Two semi-”seasons”…cold & foggy or blazing sun & hotter’n'ell. Without four seasons, time passed as one long continuous block until, one day, I realized a decade had gone by! Now I’m where I belong…in Maine…”the way life should be!”

Maine is AMAZING! I moved to LA in California to experience something new, but it really has just made me appreciate Maine so much more! If you get bored in Maine it doesnt reflect upon the state, but it reflects you as being a boring person.
