There is no official tourism in Saudi Arabia.

Travel methods to Saudi Arabia – Plane, boat/ferry (I think only from Egypt), and by car.
Travel methods within the country – Plane, car, train
Hotel accomodations and cost – 100 riyals ($27) up to thousands of Riyals for 5 star hotels. We have many 4 and 5 star hotels, and the cost is generally about the same as what you pay in other countries. You can look up all the major hotel chains and see what the costs are online.
Communication – Landline phone, Mobile Phone, Internet (dial-up, DSL, Satellite, Mobile/3G)

Tourism to Saudi Arabia is very limited, they give out a certain number of visas a year very little are for tourism. Most likley you should contact Saudi embassy in your country for more info.

As far as travel methods: Air (Almost all airlines have flights to Saudi, or Saudi Airline (http://www.saudiairlines.com)
Travel method inside: Air, Car/Taxi/Rental, Bus, Train (Train and Air tickets cost the same around 375 S.R.)

Hotels: Internationally reknown hotels in Saudi like Four Seasons, Meridian, Hayatt, Sheraton…etc

Communication: Internet, phone, mobile
