Any one have any idea what has happend in Australia during year 2003- 2009 have strong impacts on australian tourism industry?

Any recommondation that Australia Toursim Board can do for it ?

dunno about that person above….. wanna talk up Melbourne anymore?

Remember Australia had the 2003 Rugby World Cup – which had games all around australia. That was a big revenue raiser for all states and tourism.

also the "where the bloody hell are you" tourism campaign worked quite well around the globe. It attracted abit of negative media attention due to the colloquial language used – but any press is good press as they say. That boosted tourism figures also

   John Brumby paid Tiger Woods $3 million to play in Melbourne and turned a profit of $34 million. I guess maybe Victoria is the place to go coz we have everything here. The other states dont do much not to mention Melbourne is the third most livable city in the world.
