Tourism is highly advantageous for developping countries as it helps to bring economical benefits into its economy which can encourage economic development in terms of its services and infrastructure. However tourists cause highly uneven patterns of development within a country as they tend only to benefit a local population where they are travelling to. Naturally, they encourage health services to improve, water and sanitation facilities to adapt etc however they also promote job potential for the indigenous population. Tourist being a melange of problems to a country - exploitation of the environment, promoting cheap labour in the third world - increasing waste and decreasing food and water supplies in very marginalised areas in the developping world. Naturally, the developed world can cater for tourism on much a larger scale and so tourism benefits more for their economy than the south and increases their economic development on much as further rate.
