What it is the sustainable tourism?

February 282010

Sustainable tourism in its purest sense, is an industry which attempts to make a low impact on the environment and local culture, while helping to generate income, employment, and the conservation of local ecosystems. It is responsible tourism which is both ecologically and culturally sensitive.

Sustainable tourism is the basis for Eco-tourism. It attempts to create a tourism base that will not impact the environment, Ecosystem or the native culture. The uses of this are mostly for tourism operations around the world that want to appreciate nature with out destroying at the same time. Sustainable tourism practices are in place for hotels, eco-tour companies and or places located in ecologically sensitive areas.
