Use Sustainable Tourism for Bells Bend instead of May Town Center

This clip comes from the Metro Planning Commission meeting in Nashville, Davidson County, TN on May 28, 2009 in which the Planning Commission received input from the public about their views of the May Town Center’s rezoning proposal that is suggested to be built in the Bells Bend Community. Marge Davis, a contributor to the Tennessee Conservationist Magazine, talks about sustainable tourism, the largest growing sector of the tourism industry in Tennessee, and how there is not a trade off between May Town Center and no development. Development can happen regardless of the May Town Center.

CALL or E-MAIL the Planning Commission: ACT NOW!!! EVERY SINGLE CALL AND E-MAIL MAKES A STRONG DIFFERENCE!! If you express our concerns to the council and commission about the location, feasibility, and purpose of this project, your phone call or e-mail could be one of the deciding factors that helps the local government to see that this is the wrong time and place to be creating such a development. The sheer amount of infrastructure resources needed and traffic changes for the Center could seriously effect your neighborhood!!! ACT BEFORE THE JUNE 24, 2009 MEETING WITH THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND JULY 7, 2009 MEETING WITH THE METRO CITY COUNCIL!!!
