What can I do with an A level in Travel & Tourism?

May 292010

I’m currently at 6th form studying Travel & Tourism as one of my options and i was wondering what can you do with the a level once i’ve finished 6th form?

Go on holiday? Most Uni’s do not accept it as a proper qualification along with General Studies, so unless you really want to work in that area at a junior level it really isn’t valuable. Think about what you want to do after and get all the qualifications you can.

Is the Btec National Diploma in Travel and Tourism course at college any good?

May 112010

Okay so my younger sister is starting college in september and she has got a place in the btec national diploma in travel and tourism. She asked me if i knew what the course is like, but i don’t know anyone who has done it in college?
I think she just wants to know if its good and what sort of things you do in the course? Thanks

One of my friends did it at college and she really enjoyed it. You can do tastor sessions after you apply, normally you get called where you can go into the college for like 1 or 2 days and have a mini experience of what you;ll do and the subjects you’ll learn within travel and tourism. From what I’ve heard, it’s a good course. You could also go onto the website of the college your sister wants to study at and it should give you all the info about the course, including qualifications you need to be accepted onto the course and also what subjects you will learn within. If this fails to give you info then simply contact the college with your questions. They will be most help.

Arizona Tourism Office — Travel Arizona!

May 92010

Based, of course, on the ironically titled mess here: http://vimeo.com/9708897

In a state that has recently promoted itself to the world as being at least 51% a-hole, they’re going to need a compelling campaign to rebuild tourism. Perhaps “Arizona–Come for the hospitality, stay for the seemingly endless miles of barren desert wasteland.” Good luck, guys.
