What i know is that its illegal for a private vehicle to be used for taxi/tourist purpose. Onwer of the vehicle can get into trouble if caught. How about passenger? Does Tourist Permit Vehicles offer some kind of insurance or safety was passenger is paying extra as compared to Pvt Vehicle?

I recommend you this site where you can compare quotes so you can find the best option for you

A ten-year tourist visa is not good for 10 years, it allows multiple entries over a 10 yr period. They cannot remain more than 180 days in any one-year period. So they have to be out a minimum of 180 (more like 185) days before they attempt to reenter. If they try to reenter too soon, they can have that multiple entry visa cancelled, and they will get a really hard time each time they try to apply for a new single-entry visa.

Green card implies that he wants permission to play (professionally) and draw a salary in the USA. Yet there is no professional rugby played in the United States. Your question doesn’t really make sense — either you have some of your facts wrong, or you need to clarify.

Being from Canada, and learning Canadian French, I thought I would do something about Quebec. Rather than going to some tourist website, I thought I’d ask you guys, maybe people living in Quebec or who have been there, what are good places to visit that have cultural significance/ other importance/ are interesting.

the most amazing place i’ve EVER been to was gaspesie. really impressive. you got the "roche perce" over there for one, with a little history, the fishing, etc.
quebec city and it’s history. chateau frontenac… it’s said to be haunted apparently. "plains de abraham" that’s 2
MONTREAL… yes. there’s the package deal. and that’s a 3.
but uh, did you really want me to be more specific like, what each place has or just 3-4 places where there is the most "cultural significance/ other importance/ are interesting" ???

Thank you

There is a lot to see, like the other user mentioned.

One can divide the island up into 5 parts, north, south east, west and inland:

http://www.mauritius.net/what_to_see/index.php

Then there are the beaches, and if you like underwater, there is a submarine to look at the sealife.

And more info:

http://www.tourism-mauritius.mu/

*Edit*

The British foreign office has issued a travel warning:

"Due to an ongoing security operation at a military barracks near Antananarivo International Airport at Ivato, we recommend that travel to the airport and its immediate surrounds be limited at the present time. We understand some flights out of the airport are currently being cancelled – you should check with your airline."

Perhaps check for more info with them:

And hope you have a lekker holiday. I am sommer lekker jaloers.

I know most of you are American, so having the knowledge you do, what would you recommend for a tourist to do in two weeks? I know it’s not a long time and it’s a awfully big country so what would you put on the agenda?

Firstly, however big you think the USA is forget it. It is HUGE. Although you can travel far farther there in a day than you can in the UK.

It all depends what you are looking for. We were not that interested in city life and sights, wanted to see more of the countryside.

Our first visit (2002) was supposed to be our only visit. We took a month. Two weeks to visit family and attend a wedding in LA. Then two weeks for a road trip From LA following old Route 66 as far as Memphis then following The Mississippi down to New Orleans and flying home to UK from there. We did go to see the Grand Canyon and that was when we realised how much we had taken on.

We were very blessed in that the places we stopped on the trip were to see folks that I had got to know on line through a prayer group I am a member of. So not only did we see a lot of the USA but we got to meet the american people. Forget all the negative hype you hear. They have a big beautiful country and the hearts to match.

We did so enjoy that trip, but we just took in to much for it to really register. So we have been back every year since.

Road trips are good, you can fly into one airport hire a car and drive to another and fly home from there. Motels (We have used Hampton Inn and Comfort Inn) are good and you get a good breakfast. Just decide which part of America you want to see and what you want to do then plan your trip round that.

Amtrak holidays (train) are good, but quite expensive. Nothing at all like what passes as rail travel in the UK. The trains are clean very comfortable and the staff are great. In fact no matter where you go in the USA food is great, and service is the same. Each state has food particular to it and it is all really good.

There is so much to see But I love South Mississippi. A trip on the River boat Natchez from New Orleans is great. If you are into classic cars google "Cruising the coast" and got when that is on. You will have a great time along the Mississippi Gulf Coast then, you could also hire a boat and go fishing for Merlin and the likes there. And they have a lot of great new golf courses down there and Casinos. And really good food. And there is a lot of history down there, not only of the civil war and slavery, but also about the defeat of the British.

Round LA is good also, it is not all Hollywood Lot of great places to surf, and visiting the wine growing regions there makes a great relaxing holiday. And great scenery driving north up the coast. And south to San Diego.

Whatever you decide. You will have a great time.

Beulah

Hello people and thank you very much for your time.

I was wondering if anyone knows a way that I could keep a Brazilian citizen here in the US who is on a 90 day tourist visa. I’m a US citizen and I’ve known her for 9 years, I would absolutely marry her if that was the only way to keep her here. Would that even be possible?

Thanks for your input.

Bad idea. She must return to her own country before the date stamped on her I-94, which might be substantially earlier than the visa expiration date. Do not marry her! First, make sure she returns to Brazil before she overstays. Then, if you have sufficient earnings to guarantee her support, and if you really want to marry her, then apply for a fiancee visa after she is back in her country.

If you marry while she’s on tourist visa, that is a violation of visa regulations! She would have to return to her own country. If she overstayed while getting married to you, she’ll have real problems getting any sort of visa to US in future. And hasty marriage on tourist visa can spur marriage fraud investigations which will also tie you up for a long time.

Do it the right way. Fiance visa is for marriage plans. It is the fastest, cheapest, and easiest way to get married and have your new spouse probably remain in the US while applying for adjustment of status and getting a green card.
