Ta!

Limoges experiences an oceanic climate (Köppen climate classification Cfb) common to much of Western France. Most precipitation occurs between October and February. On 27 December 1999, winds reached 148 km/h. On average, the city receives 41 days of frost and seven days of snow each winter. In June, July and August, precipitation tends to come only from violent thunderstorms which are formed over the Bay of Biscay.
Aveage temp year is 56 degrees, which means that winters are mild and summers pleasant, which is good for tourist.

I have a humungous assignment due and could use some help! I need to know how tourism was affected in ‘Ben & Jerry’s’ hometown of Vermont because of the ice-cream brand.

Ben & Jerry’s ice cream factory in Waterbury is the largest tourist attraction in Vermont seeing about 300,000 visitors per year. Additionally, other attractions and such as Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Cabot Cheese outlet store, Lake Champlain Chocolates, Danforth Pewter, Cold Hollow Cider Mill plus smaller retailers, craft studios, restaurants, and lodging have located nearby because of the amount of traffic B&J draws. As the owner of a local lodging establishment, I can tell you from personal experience, that B&J is at the top of many tourists list of things to do, and even in some cases was the primary motivation to visit here. These same visitors spread out by also visiting Stowe and Burlington, plus spending in some of the villages while taking scenic drives. Likewise, the Alchemist Brewpub and Hen of the Wood restaurant have gained large amounts of fans that are drawn to Waterbury. But it was B&J that first put a stake in the ground in Waterbury and the town has grown ever since. The great ski brand of Stowe is also a major draw not only in winter but also in summer with a series of special events and seasonal activities like golf. Likewise, being right on Route 100, one of the most well known scenic roads in New England helps a great deal. In summary, I have never seen any numbers but it would not surprise me if B&J directly or indirectly brought many tens of millions of dollars to the Waterbury and northern VT area. Perhaps someone at B&J, the VT Dept of Tourism and Marketing, or a local college economics professor has conducted a study but I have not heard of one.

I’m doing a research on providing incentives to tourism-related projects like a sports and recreational arena as venue for international events and I’m wondering what it should cover. Thank you.

from or between other countries also to go from one place to another, as on a trip; journey.
"external travel" or "international travel"; E.g I’m a traveller from Philippines I’m travelling international from Philippines to Germany to France.

Tourism Events are a unique form of tourism product, but they should not be viewed narrowly as mere attractions for exploitation in tourism development schemes. Festivals and public celebrations are found in all societies. Together with a variety of other special events they are increasingly seen as unique tourist attractions and as destination image makers. E.g Kadayawan Festival in Davao City, Sinulog in Cebu and etc. Those are massive events that attract the tourist to visit the place to witness the fabulous celebration.

I hope this can help your research.

I am trying to determine how much of the tourism market is cannabis versus legal brothels in Amsterdam.

You are trying to compare an illegal section with a semi legal but not accepted section and you expect the financial information to be available online? Dream on.

Besides that, not all tourist do just one or the other or even either.
The municipality of Amsterdam might be the place to find some answers, as they did investigate the situation before starting with the current clean-up of the prostitution businesses.
As many of the brothels that are closed because of that were illegal or owned by people who had other illegal activities, you might be able to find more information online now that you used to be able to, but still most will not be available.

Since many spies were caught lately and it seems we have many people welcoming them, should we organise spy tours and be the first country to have spy tourism? There is 1 country sending many spies in good numbers, enough to make some groups. Also we know they are interested to know and see everything with their Egyptian friends. Later they’ll stay in a special comfortable accommodation also with some nice Egyptian friends and may stay long. I think we should be creative like always.
@Passion : Do you mean we exchange spies or we just sell those we caught?

Lol. Yeah I do not know why we are complaining that Tourism is down, Since our revolution we have caught five spy cells, one from Iran and four from Israel. With such a rate spy tourism can be the new hype, the only difference is when they are leaving Egypt, it will not be with a pharonic souvenir but with the memory of whip lash, and electric shocks from our infamous Mokhabaraat

And there are tourism shops at every port. So my question is, why is there so much poverty in places like St. Lucia and Aruba, can’t they distribute the money so that no one has to go barefoot or live in a tin shack?

It’s like the way the REPUBLICANS want to give all the money to the TOP 2 PERCENT and put eveyone else in POVERTY in the U.S. When the money goes to the TOP 2 PERCENT there is NO MONEY LEFT FOR THE WORKERS.. AmeriKans will soon find that out when it becomes a country of ILLITERATE, POVERTY STRICKEN PEASANTS… Amerika is ALREADY THE WORLD’S LARGEST 3RD WORLD COUNTRY.

I’m doing a report on how tourism effects people in a volcanic region or at a volcano and I picked Mt. Kilauea. Can anyone help me or send me some links.

Mt Kilauea is not on Kauai. It is on Hawaii Island, a.k.a. the Big Island, at the southeastern end of the island chain. We call it Kilauea.

The town of Kilauea on the island of Kauai (on the northwestern end of the chain of main islands) is definitely not the volcanic mountain.

Not sure which direction you want to go in regarding how tourism AFFECTS (not effects) residents.
–drives up the cost of property (and increases property taxes) on the main throughfares due to higher maintenance costs for roads/infrastructure, and more attractive business location for the tourists (and their $)
–can raise crime in the area due to easy pickings for car break-ins at scenic areas
–increased litter and waste due to the increased tourist traffic
–increased traffic and disruption of residents’ daily schedules due to increased traffic during the most scenic eruptions http://volcanoes.usgs.gov/hvo/activity/kilaueastatus.php
–loss of small-town lifestyle
–increases jobs (but service jobs) do to the increased business
–can enable a business to become hugely successful –see www.bigislandcandies.com as they were a very small company that has grown due to savvy marketing and the Hilo/volcano tourist trade.

I hope that helps!

I’m in grade 11, and not going for an OP.

Definitely hospitality, think about it, you obtain a job to serve people not yourself. but through your job you gain opportunities like being able to travel place to place. But you get these opportunities through your job and with a job customers come first. so hospitality.
